Staying sane while job searching

Moody Monday

I’m back everyone. I took a couple days off to spend some much-needed time with my family.

🌧️ Moody Monday, Week 3: When Your Mind Feels Foggy and the Path Feels Blurry

Some Mondays don’t feel heavy — they feel unclear.
You’re not sad, not overwhelmed… just foggy. Uncertain. Unfocused.

This week’s Moody Monday is about honoring that mental haze and finding clarity one gentle step at a time.

🌫️ Step 1: Accept the Fog Instead of Fighting It

Say to yourself:

“It’s okay that I don’t have all the answers today.”

Clarity doesn’t come from force — it comes from softness.

🔍 Step 2: Identify What’s Actually Weighing on You

Fog often hides something underneath.

Ask:

  • Am I unsure what to do next?
  • Am I afraid of choosing the wrong direction?
  • Am I overwhelmed by too many options?
  • Am I tired from last week’s emotional load?

Naming the root brings instant relief.

🧩 Step 3: Choose One Tiny Clarifying Action

Not a task — a clarifier.

Try:

  • Write down what you want in your next role
  • Circle the top three things that matter most
  • Delete roles that no longer align
  • Revisit your “why”
  • Journal for five minutes about what feels unclear

Clarity grows from attention.

💛 Your Moody Monday Mantra

“I don’t need perfect clarity to take the next step.”
