Overcoming the fear that the perfect job with come. I have that fear every day, with trying to find the perfect remote job for me. Now how can we all control this fear?
I have learned we have to build structure of some sort since we all know we are putting ourselves out there for the world to see with our searches, adding resumes to applications and so on. Something I have learned on the structure part is try just setting aside an hour for job searching. Then set aside 30 or so minutes to network like on Linkedin.com (that’s what it is for), then set aside a little time for interview prep because you never know when you will get that call, you want to make sure that you are prepared for it. Breaking it down like this makes your day and the process seem a little less stressful.
Another thing I have learned is you don’t have to apply to 100s of 1000s jobs a day you want quality over quantity, if that makes sense at all. You want to make sure all your communication with that one company straight out of the gate looks perfect and every word is spelled correctly and so forth. On top of that you don’t want to get burned out with trying that on 100s of jobs. Making sure everything is perfect on a few applications a day makes it so you don’t get burned out also. Burn out is not fun it’s a good way to make you want to give up and that’s not we want.
Ok that’s enough for today I will continue forward with all of this topic tomorrow for all of you to enjoy.
